Palletized LTL & partials
Standard 48 × 40 pallets, floor loaded and strapped. The bread and butter of a box truck.

The company
ProTake Logistics is being established in Sacramento, California, to run interstate box truck freight — palletized LTL and partial loads on the I-5 and I-80 corridors.
That gap is a real one. A cargo van cannot take a pallet count in double figures. A 53-foot trailer priced for a full load is the wrong tool for eight pallets, and often cannot get into the receiving site at all. A 26-foot box sits squarely between the two, and that is the whole idea.
Equipment
Real interior dimensions for a 26-foot box, not rounded marketing figures.
Twelve 48 × 40 GMA pallets straight-loaded, two across. Turning them ninety degrees opens a seventh row and gets you to fourteen.

Scheduled dock windows for retail and distribution centres, with a signed delivery receipt on arrival.
Dock or liftgate required
Residential, construction and small-business delivery where there is no dock and no forklift waiting.
2,500 lb liftgate capacity
A live 11-hour duty clock reaches Los Angeles or Portland from Sacramento inside one legal day.
Solo driver · 11-hour HOS limit
A carrier who says yes to everything is a carrier who is about to waste your afternoon. These are the limits, stated up front.
Geography
I-5 and I-80 cross here and the Port of Oakland is ninety minutes west. These are the corridors ProTake is being built around.
Where things stand
Equipment, operating authority and insurance are being put in place before any freight moves. All three have to be done properly, and none of them are things to claim early.
Nothing is being booked until they are. When that changes, the numbers go on this page where a broker can check them.
